Why Women?
Many women, while they were smart, were not encouraged to participate in financial decisions growing up or as adults. The discouragement can be for a multitude of reasons. A life-changing event makes them realize their need to learn more about their money in order to feel more in control of their financial future. Financially they want to be heard, understood, and engaged, more than just the money.
Lesson from my mother……

A strong women, she was overwhelmed…….
As a farmer’s wife, my mom was a strong women sharing many responsibilities with my father on the farm. She was however never encouraged to participate in the financial decisions of the extended family. When my father unexpectedly died at her young age of 55, her new financial responsibilities felt overwhelming. She inherited a challenging family farm situation with his siblings. I was just 16 and the loss of my father threw my world upside down. I would wake up at night, finding my mother crying in the windowsill. I never wanted to be in her position and at a young age took full control of my financial future.
When I became a financial advisor, I understood the challenges women face. I began to work with them, gently guiding them and teaching them about money and investing in a way that worked for them. Suddenly they began to blossom, becoming more empowered and confident in their ability to manage their financial affairs.
That’s why most of the clients referred to me are strong successful women, they have worked hard, raised, and loved their families but are now suddenly responsible for managing their money on their own. They don’t know where to start, which creates unwanted anxiety. They want to understand where they are, what they have and how their money will support their lifestyle, going forward.
My true purpose as a financial advisor is to encourage and support every woman in her desire to become more knowledgeable about her money. To empower her with the confidence she needs to feel more in control of her future and better able to live the life she wants.
